This Privacy Statement governs the way Stryker collects, holds and uses personal data that you may submit to StrykerQuest™. Please be sure to read this entire Privacy Statement before using or submitting information. The term "Stryker" as used in this Privacy Statement refers to Stryker Corporation and the subsidiaries and divisions of Stryker Corporation that participate in the StrykerQuest™ web recruitment system. The term "StrykerQuest™" as used in this Privacy Statement refers to the web recruitment system operated by Stryker. StrykerQuest™ is a web-based recruitment system that serves to communicate career opportunities that open up within Stryker. Job seekers are free to use StrykerQuest™ to explore such opportunities. For this purpose, StrykerQuest™ facilitates the submission and transfer of personal data normally required in order to explore suitability for a job, such as curriculum vitae and details of candidates' educational qualifications, professional skills and experience. Stryker uses StrykerQuest™ to receive and process job seeker applications, with a view to identifying the most suitable candidates for jobs. This includes communications in relation to candidate applications, interviews, alternative job opportunities and other steps up to and including job offers. This Privacy Statement sets forth the ground rules concerning the use and protection of the data that are processed via StrykerQuest™. - Data collection and disclosure:
When voluntarily submitted, your personal data are collected for the purpose(s) defined above. Personal data will solely be used within Stryker and for the purpose(s) for which you have submitted them. Personally identifiable information will be accessed only by limited and authorized Stryker staff, staff of the StrykerQuest™ third party agents and designated business partners for further processing, as set out above. All parties who have access to the data will be under obligation to maintain their security and confidentiality. In addition, Stryker may disclose your personal data to government and/or law enforcement agencies, where it is required to do so in order to comply with any legal obligation. Stryker does not use personally identifiable information for direct marketing or for unsolicited purposes. When you register on StrykerQuest™, you may need to complete certain fields as well as choose a user name and password. Some fields are required and some are optional. The fields that require you to complete information requested are denoted with a star. If you choose to withhold any personal data for required fields, it may not be possible for you to gain access to certain parts of StrykerQuest™. You can personally update and correct the data you have submitted to StrykerQuest™ using your user name and password. In accordance with the regulations protecting personal data, the personal rights detailed above, if applicable, are individual rights that can be exercised only by the person concerned with respect to his/her own information. For security reasons, StrykerQuest™ may require you to provide proper additional identity information in order to avoid any communication of confidential information concerning you to a person other than you. This Privacy Statement covers only the StrykerQuest™ web recruitment system. Links from StrykerQuest™ may take you to sites operated by third parties that are not within Stryker's control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. If you utilize a link, you are advised to check the applicable privacy practices of the new site. Stryker does not accept any responsibility or liability for the practices of other web sites. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. Stryker will cooperate fully with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.
